Various types of audio processing available in FxSound are :

FxSound Custom Preset

Even though the various presets are available, doing some custom settings which suits your requirement is always helpful.

To do custom setting do the followings:

1. First, select a presets which suits best the playback of a media file. In this case, I want a custom preset for the playback of music audio/video. So I selected the Music preset.

2. Second step is to do a custom set of Clarity, Ambience, Surround sound, Dynamic Boost, and Bass boost which sounds best to you. It is recommended to keep Ambience settings high because it smooths the overall audio.

3. To save the custom preset, do as shown in the image below.

Since the FxSound app is doing the sound processing, the extra sound enhancement processing done by the audio device installed on the computer is not necessary. That’s why the user must disable all sound enhancement done by the audio device. The process to do so may differ for each user depending on the audio device installed in the computer.

1. Configure the speaker configuration for the Audio device

• Open Control Panel > Sound.
• Select the Playback Tab. Select the Audio device which processes the audio.
• Click the Configure button.

• Configure the speaker configuration properly.

2. Configure Audio Device properties

• Open Control Panel > Sound.
• Select the Playback Tab. Select the Audio device which processes the audio.
• Click the Properties button.

• Select Advanced Tab.
• Uncheck “Enable audio enhancements“.
• Click on Apply button.

• Select the Spatial sound Tab.
• Select the “Off” option for the Spatial sound format.
• Click on Apply button.

• If the audio devices have Enhancements tab, then select it.
• Check the checkbox labeled Disable all enhancements.
• Click on Apply Button.

3. Configure the speaker configuration for the Fxsound Speakers

• Open Control Panel > Sound.
• Select the Playback Tab.
• Select the FxSound Speakers.
• Click the Configure button.
• Configure the speaker configuration correctly.

4. Configure FxSound Speaker properties

• Open Control Panel > Sound.
• Select the Playback Tab.
• Select the FxSound Speakers..
• Click the Properties button.

• Select the Spatial sound Tab.
• Select the “Off” option for the Spatial sound format.
• Click on OK button.
